台灣夜市文化興盛，到晚上舉家大小前往夜市逛街用餐，是許多家庭的固定行程，但就有網友詢問，過去曾盛極一時，霸佔夜市許多攤外的蒙古烤肉，為何如今消失殆盡，引發熱烈討論。

網友在PTT八卦版PO文「為什麼夜市都沒看到蒙古烤肉」，他表示學生時期沒什麼錢時，時常揪團跟同學一起去吃，當時大家都流行比賽，看誰夾的菜最高，吃的開心又飽足，最近突然想再去回味，卻發現夜市裡的蒙古烤肉幾乎都沒了，「有什麼原因嗎？」

文章引發熱議，不少鄉民直呼：「超懷念的」、「以前真的常常吃」、「拿著盤子跟夾子，考驗建築功力XD」、「以前學生時代超愛，好吃好玩又便宜」、「飯吃到飽、飲料喝到飽又沒限時間」、「應該是師父想家，回蒙古了」。
