中央氣象局表示，今（18）日受西南風影響，全台各地大多為多雲到晴，午後因熱力作用，大氣較不穩定，大台北、東北部、東部地區及其他山區有局部短暫雷陣雨；氣溫方面各地都較炎熱，高溫均達31度以上，局部地區溫度可能還會更高一些，東南部有焚風發生的可能，尤其台東、花蓮及屏東近山區的平地或河谷有發生36度以上高溫的機率，中午前後紫外線偏強，外出應做好防曬措施並多補充水分。

週末天氣悶熱，普遍33、34度；中南部內陸、花東局部更可達到35、36度。午後零星陣雨，以山區、台北、宜花機率較高；台東需留意焚風，注意防範措施。下週日至下週二太平洋高壓增強，台灣各地暖如盛夏。下週三至下週五太平洋高壓影響，各地大多為晴到多雲，高溫炎熱。
氣象專家吳德榮在「三立準氣象·老大洩天機」專欄撰文表示，最新歐洲(ECMWF)模式模擬顯示，週末兩天各地多雲時晴，天氣悶熱、防中暑，花東防極端高溫(≧36度)；滯留鋒逐漸北移，「太平洋高壓」偏弱，大氣不穩定、午後山區有局部短暫陣雨或雷雨，部分平地受影響，有較大雨勢，應注意。今日各地氣溫：北部23至34度，中部22至35度，南部23至35度，東部21至37度。
最新模式模擬顯示，下週一至週五「太平洋高壓」逐漸增強西伸，天氣晴朗炎熱，下週一、二北台高溫升至35度，下週三至五將升至36度左右，注意防曬、防中暑；午後雲量增多、局部雷陣雨範圍逐漸縮小，大部分在山區，少部分平地受影響。
吳德榮指出，最新歐洲系集模式12天的模擬顯示，「西北太平洋」熱帶洋面上，29日20時之前，尚無「颱風」活動的跡象，30日之後則已超過模擬極限，需持續觀察。（編輯：倪浩軒）
