戰爭時期妻離子散的例子多不勝數，特別在三國這個大亂世裡面；看過三國演義的人都知道，劉備有一個兒子劉禪繼承了他的帝位，其實，劉備還有兩個女兒，但這兩個女兒的命運，可就沒有劉禪這麼幸運了！當時在著名的長坂坡戰役中，趙子龍千軍萬馬救阿斗，但卻救不出劉備另外兩個女兒，她們兩個被曹操生擒後，依曹操好色的個性會有什麼下場？劉備羞於提起。

長坂坡之戰是漢末三國時期一場著名的戰鬥，這場戰鬥中，曹操讓曹純帶隊一日急行軍三百多里前去追趕劉備。雙方在當陽長坂坡遭遇，這場遭遇戰打得劉備丟妻棄子、落荒而逃。劉備的兩個女兒也被曹純俘虜。在《三國志魏書諸夏侯曹傳》中有記載，（曹純）從征荊州，追劉備於長坂，獲其二女輜重，收其散卒。

劉備曾經投靠過曹操，後來自立稱帝，建立蜀漢。曹操因為劉備的做法，和劉備反目成仇，恨得牙癢癢的，劉備的兩個女兒落到曹操手中，自然沒有好下場，再加上古代女子地位本來就不高，遭受到凌辱是必然的；劉備的兩個女兒，剛被抓到曹營時，被曹操賞給了建立大功的將領曹純，受盡了折磨和屈辱。而已經是49歲的曹純，沒多久就去世了；不過，劉備的兩個女兒並沒有因此逃離魔掌，而是接著被曹操關進了銅雀台。
